
PICKAWAY TOWNSHIP, OH – A two-vehicle crash in Pickaway Township on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 2:12 p.m. resulted in multiple injuries, according to a Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office traffic crash report released on Monday.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Kingston Pike and Tarlton Pike, where the driver of a 2012 Nissan Versa, traveling west, stopped at a stop sign but then failed to yield, colliding with a 2020 Nissan Armada that was in the intersection heading north. The Versa struck the Armada’s right rear passenger side, causing disabling damage to the Versa and minor damage to the Armada.

The Versa’s driver, a 75-year-old female Peggy Downs of Laurelville, sustained possible injuries and was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way under Ohio Revised Code 4511.43. The Armada, carrying seven total occupants, including the 52-year-old male driver David Foler of Stoutsville, a 50-year-old female with suspected minor injuries, a 79-year-old man with minor injuries, and four children with possible injuries, ages 10,6,9, and 8. Injured parties were transported to Berger Hospital by Pickaway Township and Circleville EMS.

The scene was cleared by 4:10 p.m. after a 118-minute investigation. Both vehicles were insured. Weather conditions were cloudy, and the road was wet, contributing factors to the crash.
