KINGSTON, Ohio — March 2, 2026 — Two people were seriously injured Monday morning in a high-speed head-on collision near Kingston.
According to early reports, the crash occurred at the intersection of Rittenour Road and SR-180, involving a pickup truck and an SUV. The impact caused the pickup truck to roll over, while the SUV was severely damaged.
Emergency crews quickly arrived on the scene, extricating both drivers and transporting them to Adena Regional Medical Center. Due to the severity of their injuries and ongoing medical evaluation, one or both patients are expected to be transferred to Columbus-area hospitals for further treatment.
Adverse weather conditions, including snow and hail, prevented the use of a medical helicopter for transport.
