CIRCLEVILLE, OH — A driver has been cited following a three-vehicle collision on North Court Street Friday afternoon that left one person with possible injuries and disrupted traffic for nearly an hour.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. on April 3, 2026, just north of the intersection with Pinckney Street.

Chain Reaction Collision

According to the Circleville Police Department report, a gray 2016 Chrysler 200, driven by Elizabeth M. Picklesimer, 45, of Chillicothe, was traveling southbound on North Court Street.

Investigators state that Picklesimer lost control of her vehicle and rear-ended a gray 2021 Hyundai Tucson that was slowed or stopped in traffic. The force of the impact pushed the Hyundai forward into a third vehicle, a black 2011 Jeep Patriot. Both the Hyundai and the Jeep were unoccupied at the time of the impact, according to the report’s unit details.

Medical Response and Citations

Circleville Fire Department medics responded to the scene to evaluate those involved. Picklesimer was listed as having “possible injuries” and was treated by EMS, though the report does not indicate she was transported to a hospital.

Officer Hunter Bolt cited Picklesimer for Operation without being in reasonable control of a vehicle (ORC 4511.202A).

Scene Cleared

The crash caused significant delays in the area as North Court Street was closed for 53 minutes while officers investigated and cleared the wreckage. The roadway was officially reopened at 2:54 p.m.

Police confirmed that weather was not a factor in the crash, as conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the incident.
