Circleville — Emergency crews responded to a serious pedestrian crash Tuesday evening after a person was struck by a vehicle in the area of 192 Water Street.
When officers arrived, they found the victim lying in the roadway with severe injuries. First responders requested a medical helicopter, but adverse weather conditions prevented any aircraft from flying. The victim a female was transported by ground to Adena Regional Medical Center in a life-threatening condition. The vehicle remained on scene. Crash investigators held the scene for many hours afterwards.
The incident remains under investigation. Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or additional details about the driver involved.
