COMMERCIAL POINT, OH — November 4, 2025 — The recent election for Commercial Point Village Council members resulted in an unusual outcome, with the majority of seats won by write-in candidates.

Unofficial results from Pickaway County show that Dustyn Fox, the only candidate listed on the ballot, received 595 votes (41.09%). However, write-in candidates collectively received 853 votes (58.91%), giving them the majority of support among voters.

Leading the write-in totals was Courtney Denton with 223 votes (15.40%), followed by Ezekiel Miller with 140 votes (9.67%), Patricia Anderson with 126 votes (8.70%), and Linda Holdren with 105 votes (7.25%). Other successful write-ins included Veronica Cardello, William Nugester, Eric Nungester, and Patricia Benedik, among others.

Election officials note that the village had four council seats up for grabs, and the heavy write-in turnout required verification by the Pickaway County Board of Elections before the results could be certified.

This election highlights the active engagement of residents in shaping their local government, even when candidates are not formally listed on the ballot.
