
CIRCLEVILLE, OH – In the early morning hours of Friday, September 12, 2025, a joint operation by the South-Central Major Crimes Unit, Circleville Police Department, and Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office resulted in two arrests and the seizure of drugs, weapons, and cash.
Deputies and officers executed two search warrants and two arrest warrants at a residence on 301 Sumpter Avenue. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s SRT Team secured the property before detectives moved in to conduct the searches.

Investigators recovered three long guns, two handguns, more than a half-ounce of suspected methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, over $700 in cash, and several items believed to be stolen. The narcotics will be sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) for testing.
Two Circleville residents, 50-year-old Misty D. Lee and 49-year-old Jeffrey C. Rice, were taken into custody. Both face charges of third-degree felony trafficking in drugs and are being held in the Pickaway County Jail.

Pickaway County Sheriff Matthew Hafey and Circleville Police Chief Shawn Fisher thanked Circleville Fire and EMS, along with Pickaway Township Fire and EMS, for their support during the operation.
Authorities said the arrests are part of an ongoing investigation, and additional charges are likely.
The case remains under investigation by the South-Central Major Crimes Unit, Circleville Police Department, and Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
