Two-Vehicle Injury Crash Closes US-35 in Ross County

CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that occurred on US-35 near milepost 17 in Union Township, Ross County, on Monday, June 30, 2025, at approximately 5:29 p.m. EDT. Details were released at 9:15 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

The incident involved a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by 21-year-old Gabriel Bolander of Washington Court House, Ohio, traveling southeast. Bolander veered off the left side of the road, crossed the median, and collided with a 2023 Kenworth T680 semi driven by 24-year-old Husandeep Chahal of Surrey, British Columbia. A passenger in the semi, 54-year-old Nirmal Singh, also from Surrey, was present during the crash.

Bolander sustained minor injuries and was transported by Union Township EMS to Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe for treatment. Chahal and Singh were unharmed. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Union Township Fire and EMS, Veteran Affairs Fire and EMS, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Ross County Emergency Management Agency. The westbound lanes of US-35 were closed for approximately 2.5 hours during the response and investigation.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
