MAYS LANDING, N.J. — Move over, Spirit Halloween — there’s a new seasonal shop in town. Spirit Christmas, a festive spinoff of the popular Halloween retailer, has officially opened its first store of the 2025 holiday season in Mays Landing, New Jersey.
The pop-up store, which opened on Oct. 17, features aisles packed with Christmas décor, ornaments, lights, gifts, and holiday-themed costumes. Guests at the grand opening were greeted by Santa Claus himself, while the first 100 visitors received a special discount and a sweet treat.
Spirit Halloween first teased the return of Spirit Christmas back in August, promising an even bigger expansion this year. The company is delivering on that promise, with 30 pop-up stores opening across the Northeast and Great Lakes regions — up from just eight during last year’s debut run.
“Spirit Christmas is back and brighter than ever! ✨ Visit our Mays Landing flagship or find your local store at spiritchristmas.com. Let the merry begin,” the company announced on social media.
This year’s lineup includes two stores in Ohio — one in Mentor (8000 Plaza Blvd) and another in North Canton (5487 Dressler Rd NW) — joining other locations from Connecticut to Michigan.
The company says the pop-up stores will carry a wide variety of holiday merchandise, from classic Christmas trees and lights to novelty decorations and gifts, giving fans of the Halloween brand a reason to celebrate through December.
