SOUTH BLOOMFIELD, OH — Mayor Aaron Thomas is inviting residents of South Bloomfield and surrounding areas to an open town hall to discuss current and future development in the village. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Village Council Chambers.
Thomas made the announcement following an overwhelming response to a recent letter posted on the village’s Facebook page. “I received around 25–30 emails, which was much more than I expected,” Thomas said. Originally, he had planned a smaller discussion with just a handful of residents, but the high level of community interest prompted him to expand the event.
The town hall will feature Mayor Thomas and the Village Administrator discussing:
- Existing development in the village
- Planned or anticipated future development
- The mayor’s strategy for guiding responsible growth
- Efforts to coordinate with surrounding villages and townships
“This will be an informal, open conversation,” Thomas said. “Anyone who wants to ask a question or speak will have the chance to do so. My goal is to answer as many questions as possible and ensure everyone leaves with a clear understanding of what’s happening in South Bloomfield and northern Pickaway County.”
Thomas emphasized that the meeting is intended as a respectful and honest dialogue rather than a debate. “If there’s a question I can’t answer that night, I’ll take down your information and get back to you,” he added.
Since taking office nearly two years ago, Thomas said keeping residents informed has been a top priority. “I will continue to communicate openly through email and council meetings, but I won’t engage in debate on social media,” he said.
Residents are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and learn more about the village’s ongoing and future projects.
