A 19-year-old driver from Dayton is facing charges following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in Salt Creek Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:34 p.m. on February 7, 2026, along State Route 56 near Township Road 322. Troopers reported that a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling eastbound when it went off the right side of the roadway.
According to the crash report, the vehicle struck a stop sign and then collided with a guardrail before coming to rest. The roadway was snow-covered at the time of the crash, and conditions were described as dark and not lighted. The posted speed limit in the area is 55 miles per hour. Investigators estimated the vehicle was traveling approximately 60 miles per hour.
The driver, identified as 19-year-old Sierra Renee Allison of Dayton, was cited for Operating a Vehicle Without Reasonable Control. Authorities also reported that alcohol was a suspected factor in the crash. A breath test showed a blood alcohol content of .084.
Because the legal drinking age in Ohio is 21, the state enforces a “zero tolerance” policy for underage drivers, making it illegal to operate a vehicle with a BAC of 0.02% or higher. This limit is one-quarter of the 0.08% limit for drivers aged 21 and older.
Two juvenile passengers, both 16 years old, were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash. No serious injuries were reported, and occupants were evaluated at the scene.
Trooper Dylan Spackey investigated the crash. The scene was cleared shortly before 11 p.m. No additional vehicles were involved.
