LANCASTER, Ohio — The Rotary Club of Lancaster has received a $20,000 donation from Park National Bank to help fund its planned Rotary All-Accessible Playground at Miller Park.
The project, which will include the new playground and the All-Abilities Ball Field, is expected to cost just over $1 million. So far, Rotary has secured more than half of the necessary funding.
“Rotary is proud to lead this effort for all children and families in Lancaster and Fairfield County,” said Rotary President Stephanie Taylor. “But it would not be possible to bring this dream to fruition without the support of leading businesses in our community like Park National Bank.”
Park National Bank leaders echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the project’s long-term value.
“We’re excited to see the lasting impact it will have in our community—creating a space where children and families of all abilities can come together, play, and enjoy green spaces that welcome everyone,” said Laura Tussing, Regional President of Park National Bank.
Donations for the playground are still being sought. Contributions can be made through the Fairfield County Foundation at www.fairfieldcountyfoundation.org under the Rotary Club of Lancaster Playground Fund.
The Rotary Club of Lancaster, part of Rotary International, is made up of local business and community leaders who work together to create lasting, positive change through service and collaboration.
