
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (Sept. 3, 2025) – Haunted Mountain, home of the historic Tecumseh Outdoor Drama and concert venue in Ross County, is inviting families and film lovers to enjoy free outdoor movies throughout October.
The Movies at Haunted Mountain series kicks off Oct. 2 and runs nightly on select dates through Halloween. Admission is free, and visitors do not need to purchase tickets to Haunted Mountain attractions to attend. Movies begin around 8:45–9:00 p.m., once it’s dark enough, and concessions including popcorn and refreshments will be available. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
The spooky and family-friendly lineup includes cult classics and Halloween favorites:
- Oct. 2 – The Rocky Horror Picture Show
- Oct. 3 – E.T.
- Oct. 4 – Evil Dead
- Oct. 9 – A Nightmare on Elm Street
- Oct. 10 – Halloweentown
- Oct. 11 – Hellraiser
- Oct. 16 – Child’s Play
- Oct. 17 – Monsters Inc.
- Oct. 18 – Braindead
- Oct. 23 – Get Out
- Oct. 24 – The Addams Family
- Oct. 25 – Jeepers Creepers
- Oct. 30 – Halloween
- Oct. 31 – Hocus Pocus
The free movie nights are part of Haunted Mountain’s full evening schedule, which also includes escape rooms, scavenger hunts, tomahawk throwing, a live performance of It Flies by Night, and a haunted trail. Facilities open at 5:30 p.m., with activities running through 11 p.m.
