
ROSS COUNTY — A man was shot Wednesday evening following a law enforcement response to reports of an intoxicated individual armed with a gun in the 2600 block of Patton Hill Road.
According to the Ross County 911 Center, the first call came in around 6:30 p.m., reporting a male neighbor who appeared intoxicated and was allegedly waving a firearm in front of his home.
Before deputies arrived, a second emergency call reported multiple gunshots and one person injured. A witness at the scene told authorities the victim was shot in both the stomach and leg.
The suspect was reported to have took off in a car and a police chase further ensued.

The Ross County Sheriff’s Office has not yet released details about the condition of the victim or whether any arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
