
CHILLICOTHE, OH — A 36-year-old man is in custody following a disturbing domestic violence and child custody incident that unfolded late Saturday morning on Pam Lane in Ross County.
According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the residence around 10:42 a.m. on May 31st in response to a report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, deputies quickly located and detained the suspect.
Authorities say the man forcibly removed his daughter from the custody of her grandmother, despite having no legal custody rights. Both the child and the grandmother reportedly sustained physical injuries during the confrontation, which deputies documented with photographs.
Justin Hendricks now faces multiple serious charges, including Abduction, Domestic Violence, and Endangering Children. The Ross County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the suspect knowingly caused physical harm and created a substantial risk to the child’s well-being.

He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
