
Chillicothe, OH – June 4, 2025 – The Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library (CRCPL) system is set to bring the community together with a diverse array of events this June. With activities spanning from June 2 to June 30, there’s something for all ages, from toddlers to adults, across various library branches in Ross County.
The month kicks off with the “Bookworm” program, running from June 2 to July 23, encouraging readers of all ages to dive into books and earn rewards. Visit CRCPL.org/bookworm for more details.

For younger children, the library offers engaging storytimes and themed events. On June 11, “Budding Bookworms Storytime” at the Main Library Children’s Area (10 AM) and Paxton Branch (10:30 AM) welcomes babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Later in the month, the “Preschool Disco Party” on June 24 at 11 AM in the Main Library Annex Room B promises a lively morning of dancing and fun for preschoolers.
School-age kids and teens have plenty to look forward to as well. On June 14, the “Taylor Swift Trivia Challenge” at 2 PM in the Main Library Annex Room D will test fans’ knowledge, while the “Blacklight Laser Tag” event on June 25 at 4 PM in the Main Library Annex offers an exciting experience for teens. Creative types can join the “Macrame Rainbow Workshop” on June 10 at 4 PM at the Northside Branch or the “Teen Stamp Carving” session on June 11 at 3 PM in the Main Library Annex Room D.

Adults aren’t left out, with events like the “Pride Hall of Fame Celebration” on June 10 at 6 PM in the Main Library Annex Room A and the “Horror Book Club” discussing The Honeys by Ryan La Salla on June 12 at 6 PM in the Main Library Annex Room D. Those interested in practical skills can attend the “Free Legal Advice Clinic” on June 26 at 3 PM or the “Free Driver License Clinic” on June 27 at 9 AM, both in the Main Library Annex Room B.
The library also hosts unique community events, such as “Bigfoot Eyewitness Encounters from Ohio and Beyond” on June 16 at 5:30 PM at the Paxton Branch, and the “Raptor Roadshow” on June 30 at 5:30 PM at the Kingston Shelter House. For outdoor fun, the “Summer Music Series ’25” at the Northside Branch Shelterhouse features live performances every Wednesday, including Sugarloaf Shakedown on June 11, The Great Seal of Ohio Band on June 17, Goosetown Astonishers on June 18, and Stateside Red on June 25, all starting at 7 PM.

The Bee Mobile Library will make stops throughout the month, including at the Farmer’s Market on June 21 from 8 AM to 12 PM at 475 Western Ave, Chillicothe, bringing books and activities to the community.
