Chillicothe — The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 12 of their cases on May 23rd, but none were open for public release. They had two open cases on May 9th.  From testimony in the the grand jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:

On April 10th, a Chillicothe police officer was dispatched to a hilltop apartment on West Fifth Street, where he found the door barricaded shut with a couch. The victim said 34-year-old Jacob Lee Hensley had been calling her through Faceboook and different phone apps under different names.

Earlier, while she was in the laundry room of her apartment complex, Hensley pulled in and started screaming at her. She got into her apartment but he followed her and would not leave, so she grabbed her keys and phone and left.

He eventually drove away, but after she returned to her apartment, he also returned, when she called the police.

Because Hensley broke into the apartment while under an active protection order, he was indicted for second-degree felony burglary, and third-degree felony violation of a protection order.

Hensley was also indicted for a first-degree misdemeanor violation of another active protection order on April 16th, when Hensley had her contacted her with an unidentified number. She told the caller to leave her alone and wanted nothing to do with him.

After tracing the phone number, it turned out that an inmate of the Ross County Jail was calling through his spouse, on behalf of Hensley who had told the inmate to contact the victim and tell her to contact Hensley.

For his indictments, Hensley could get up to 11 1/2 years and $26,000 in fines.
