Property Damage, Assault, and Fraud Among 32 Calls for Circleville Police

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – February 26, 2026 – The Circleville Police Department responded to 32 calls for service on February 25, ranging from suspicious activity and fraud reports to an assault investigation and multiple traffic-related incidents.

Overnight Activity

Officers conducted numerous extra patrols throughout the early morning hours on East Mill Street, South Court Street, East Main Street, Springhollow Road, Clark Drive, and Pontious Lane. All locations were reported as checked and secure.

At 2:28 a.m., police responded to North Pickaway Street for a suspicious person complaint. A report was taken.

A traffic jam or roadblock was reported around 4:34 a.m. on Goodchild Service Road, but the situation was cleared without further issue. Officers also investigated a 911 hang-up call on South Court Street shortly before 5 a.m., which checked okay.

Morning and Afternoon Incidents

Later in the morning, officers responded to a property damage complaint on East Mill Street, taking a report. Civil process paperwork was served on Ray Avenue, and a disabled vehicle on Nicholas Drive was cleared.

Police handled a vehicle lockout on East Ohio Street and responded to a threats and harassment complaint on East Franklin Street, where a report was taken.

A fraud complaint was reported on Avon Drive, followed by an assault report on Lancaster Pike just after 4 p.m. Both incidents remain under investigation.

Officers also conducted a traffic stop on West Mill Street, where a citation was issued.

Evening Calls

Carbon monoxide calls were reported on Town Street and later on Pinckney Street; both were cleared. Officers responded to suspicious vehicle complaints on South Scioto Street and Cedar Heights Road, as well as a suspicious person call on North Court Street, where a report was taken.

Parking complaints were logged on Atwater Avenue and Edgewood Drive, with one citation issued.

Police also conducted several well-being checks throughout the day, all of which were reported as checked okay.
