Circleville, Ohio – August 1, 2025 — Two Pickaway County educational institutions have received top honors from the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office for excellence in financial accountability.

Auditor of State Keith Faber announced that the Pickaway County Educational Service Center and the Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center were among dozens of Ohio entities awarded the Auditor of State Award for their clean audit reports in June.

The prestigious recognition is given to public entities that meet stringent criteria for financial transparency and accuracy. To qualify, entities must submit timely financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and have audit results free of findings for recovery, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, or other financial red flags.

“By keeping accurate financial records, governing bodies demonstrate their commitment to efficient, effective, and transparent service,” said Auditor Faber. “This award honors public entities that have put in the hard work to keep their finances in order.”

Across the state, 42 schools, housing authorities, transportation districts, and other public entities received the award. Among them were career and technical schools like the Stark County Area Vocational School District and Pioneer Career and Technology Center, as well as digital and community schools from Franklin, Cuyahoga, and Lucas counties.

For local residents, the recognition underscores the dedication of Pickaway and Ross County educational leaders to sound fiscal management.
