BAINBRIDGE, OH — Veterans and their families are invited to enjoy a day of camaraderie and fishing at Paint Creek Lake on May 31, 2025, as part of Operation Fish With a Hero, a special community event honoring the service and sacrifice of America’s military members.

Running from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the event is open to any past or present service member from any branch, along with their families. Attendees will receive free fishing gear, tackle boxes, a commemorative t-shirt, and lunch—all provided to ensure a fun and relaxing outing on the lake.

Hosted by the Paint Creek Lake US Army Corps of Engineers, the event celebrates veterans by offering a meaningful experience in the great outdoors and fostering bonds among service families and the local community.

Volunteers, Captains, and Sponsors Still Needed

Organizers are currently seeking support from the public to make the event a success. Volunteers, boat captains, and sponsors are in demand. Participants must be at least 16 years old, and those interested in helping are encouraged to register soon, as spaces are limited.

To register as a participant or volunteer, email [email protected] or text 937-986-7452.
