Overnight Double Rollover Shuts Down US-23 in Pickaway County

PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio (Sept. 18, 2025) – An early morning crash involving two vehicles caused a temporary shutdown of U.S. Route 23 just south of Circleville.

According to initial reports, the accident happened around 1:45 a.m. Thursday in the southbound lanes near Huston Street. The collision involved a Jeep Cherokee and a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck.

Deputies said one vehicle came to rest on its side, while the other rolled over before landing upright. One driver was transported to Berger Hospital with injuries, while the other sustained only minor injuries and was released at the scene.

U.S. 23 southbound was closed for about an hour while emergency crews cleared the roadway. Pickaway Township Fire Department and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
