LUCAS, OH — A major drug interdiction effort led by federal and local authorities has resulted in the seizure of approximately two kilograms of methamphetamine and the arrest of a Richland County man.

The operation began when the U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Cleveland Field Office flagged a suspicious parcel destined for an address in Richland County. Upon inspection, federal agents discovered the package contained roughly two kilos of pills containing methamphetamine.

The Joint Operation

On March 10, 2026, a coordinated “controlled delivery” and search warrant execution were carried out by a massive task force, including:

  • The METRICH Enforcement Unit
  • U.S. Postal Inspectors
  • Richland County Sheriff’s Office
  • ASORT (Allied Special Operations Response Team)

The raid took place at a residence located at 4232 Lucas Perrysville Road. The search warrant was authorized by Judge Kemerer of the Mansfield Municipal Court.

Arrest and Charges

Authorities arrested Benjamin Radojcsics at the scene. He has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a first-degree felony (F-1). Radojcsics was transported to the Richland County Jail, where he remains incarcerated pending his initial court appearance.

“The collaboration between federal law enforcement agencies and the METRICH Enforcement Unit continues to have a positive impact in removing illegal drugs from coming into the Richland County communities,” said METRICH Commander Lt. Steve Blust.

Ongoing Investigation

Detectives seized additional evidence during the search of the property. While Radojcsics currently faces a first-degree felony charge, investigators noted that further charges may be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office as the investigation continues.

Community Impact

METRICH, a ten-county task force dedicated to reducing the availability of illegal drugs and weapons in North Central Ohio, credited the success of this bust to the seamless cooperation between agencies and tips from the public.
