CHILLICOTHE – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-skip crash that occurred early Monday morning on State Route 159 in Ross County.
According to investigators, the crash happened at approximately 5:44 a.m. when a southbound vehicle struck a pedestrian near milepost 3. Troopers say Bruce M. Troopers later located Hardesty, who is now being held at the Ross County Law Enforcement Complex. He has only been charged currently with leaving the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Chillicothe Police Department, Ross County Sheriff’s Office, Chillicothe Fire Department, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
