COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced the launch of a new Business Data Transparency Dashboard, a tool designed to provide the public with detailed insights into new business filings across the state.
The dashboard allows users to track new business growth over time, explore self-reported demographic and county-level statistics, and view data on notary and ministerial licenses.

“The public deserves transparency in every aspect of state and local government,” Secretary LaRose said. “Ohioans have responded positively to the dashboards we created for elections, and now we’re extending that transparency to business data to tell the story of new business growth in our state.”
This latest initiative is part of LaRose’s Office of Data Analytics and Archives, which has already launched several user-friendly tools to increase transparency and efficiency, including:
- Voter Registration Dashboard – Provides detailed trends and statistics for voter registration.
- Absentee and Early Voting Dashboard – Tracks early voting activity across the state.
- Daily Voter Registration Snapshots – Offers daily updates on voter registration changes across Ohio’s 88 counties.
- Enhanced Data Integrity Tools – Help county boards of elections identify and correct discrepancies faster; pilot counties resolved nearly 97% of flagged issues within 60 days.
- Election Results Dashboard – Provides easy access to past election results and statewide voting trends.
Secretary LaRose’s office said the new business dashboard continues the effort to provide open, accessible data for Ohioans, helping policymakers, researchers, and the public better understand the state’s business landscape.
