Columbus, OH – Local developers Mark Catalano of Fairway Companies and Mark Taggart of Mark F. Taggart Co. have unveiled plans for the Alkire Air Commerce Center, a 110,835-square-foot Class‑A speculative industrial warehouse on Alkire Road in southwest Columbus.
The project, set on 8.13 acres, is designed to meet growing demand for modern industrial space in the Bolton and Grove City areas. It will feature flexible layouts suitable for single- or multi‑tenant users, a 32-foot clear height, an ESFR sprinkler system, and a 10-year, 75% tax abatement.
“The Alkire Air Commerce Center has been thoughtfully designed to support users seeking modern features, efficient layouts, and immediate access to key transportation corridors,” Catalano and Taggart said in a joint statement. “This project reflects our commitment to supporting continued economic growth in southwest Columbus.”
The location offers excellent connectivity, with direct access to I‑270 and nearby routes to I‑70 and I‑71. Its proximity to Bolton Field Airport also provides unique advantages for aviation-related and service-oriented businesses.
The development is supported by a $750,000 grant and a $2.5 million loan through the JobsOhio Ohio Site Inventory Program, which helps finance speculative projects that do not yet have an identified tenant.
“There’s demand for smaller, modern industrial spaces in Central Ohio, and the Alkire Air Commerce Center will help close that inventory gap,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “Once built, this facility will play an important role in attracting manufacturers seeking Class-A industrial space in the heart of the North American supply chain.”
Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2026, with completion slated for Fall 2026.
