Circleville — A new Shell gas station and convenience store is officially under construction on North Court Street, bringing expanded services to one of the city’s fastest-growing areas.

The project, located at 1185 North Court Street on the former Porters Cleaning Center property, will feature more than fuel pumps. According to early development plans, the site will include four gas pumps, a full convenience store, and a drive-thru connected to an on-site kitchen that will serve food to both walk-in and drive-thru customers.

Developers say the design includes over 20 parking spaces and a line of trees planned along the rear of the property to create a buffer between the business and neighboring residences in Elseas Mobile Home Park. An existing laundromat on the property may also be renovated as part of the project.

Inside, customers can expect a walk-in beer cave, multiple coolers, a beverage station, merchandise selections, and prepared food options.

The North Court Street corridor has seen significant housing growth in recent years but currently has only one operating gas station. Community leaders say the new Shell station will help meet the increased demand for fuel and retail services.

The business is expected to open in 2026.
