CHILLICOTHE, OH — On Monday, May 19, 2025, Netflix announced a significant expansion of its kids and family entertainment lineup with the addition of beloved titles ‘Sesame Street’ and ‘The World of Peppa Pig,’ set to delight audiences worldwide. The streaming giant continues to solidify its position as a trusted destination for young viewers, now hosting 15% of its total viewing from family content.

‘Sesame Street,’ a cultural icon for over 50 years, will bring its reimagined 56th season to Netflix later this year, alongside 90 hours of classic episodes featuring Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and their friends. The new season introduces a fresh format, reviving fan-favorite segments like Elmo’s World and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck, while adding new interactive elements such as Cookie Monster’s Cookie Cart and Abby’s Fairy Garden, home to magical creatures.

Joining the lineup, ‘The World of Peppa Pig’ offers an immersive app experience exclusive to Netflix, featuring puzzles, mini-games, coloring books, and more. New episodes from Season 7 of ‘Peppa Pig’ are also available for streaming in the U.S., encouraging kids and families to watch and play together.

Netflix is further enhancing its family offerings with upcoming projects, including animated series and films like ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85,’ ‘Motel Transylvania,’ ‘Minecraft,’ ‘Ghostbusters,’ ‘Dr. Seuss,’ ‘In Your Dreams,’ and ‘The Twits.’ The platform also features popular shows like ‘Ms. Rachel,’ ‘Gabby’s Dollhouse,’ ‘CoComelon Lane,’ ‘Blippi,’ and ‘Hot Wheels Let’s Race,’ alongside adventures such as ‘The Sea Beast’ and ‘Leo.’

To ensure a safe viewing experience, Netflix provides dedicated kids’ profiles with parental controls, allowing guardians to monitor content, lock profiles with a PIN, and access viewing recaps. Additional games for kids are included with all memberships, free of ads or in-app purchases.

“Whether it’s learning with Elmo or splashing in muddy puddles with Peppa, we’re building a space where kids can watch, play, and learn,” a Netflix spokesperson said. Families are encouraged to explore these offerings for quality entertainment time.
