Multiple Thefts, Vandalism Reports Highlight Busy Day for Chillicothe Police Department

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe police responded to multiple reports of theft, vandalism and other incidents throughout the city on February 27, according to the department’s daily media report.

Early Morning Vandalism

Officers were first dispatched at 4:30 a.m. to the 100 block of Maple Avenue in reference to a vandalism complaint classified as criminal mischief. An investigation was initiated.

At 7:39 a.m., police responded to South Hickory Street for another criminal mischief complaint involving property that had reportedly been moved, defaced or tampered with. The investigation in that case remains ongoing.

Juvenile Complaint

At 12:55 p.m., officers were called to South Paint Street regarding a juvenile-related complaint. The matter was listed as non-criminal, and the investigation is continuing.

Theft Charges Filed

At 1:55 p.m., police responded to River Trace Lane for a theft complaint. Following an investigation, officers determined that Jaculyn Pritchard allegedly stole items from a victim. She was subsequently charged with theft.

Later in the afternoon at 2:41 p.m., officers were dispatched to Sherman Park after a robbery complaint was reported. A report was taken, and the investigation remains open.

Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest

At 4:23 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South Renick Avenue. An arrest was made on an outstanding warrant. No additional details were released.

Evening Theft Report

Police were again called to South Paint Street at 9:10 p.m. in response to another theft complaint. A report was taken, and no further information was immediately available.

In total, seven incidents were documented in the February 27 media report. All investigations that remain open are continuing.
