Multiple Arrests, Crashes and Disorderly Incidents Reported by Chillicothe Police

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a wide range of incidents throughout the city on March 27, 2026, including disorderly conduct complaints, a fugitive arrest, crashes, and ongoing investigations.

Fugitive Arrested on Cedar Street

One of the most significant incidents occurred in the 500 block of Cedar Street, where officers were attempting to serve an arrest warrant. Police made contact with Matthew Green, who was found to have an active warrant out of Kentucky. He was taken into custody and transported to the Ross County Jail, where he remains pending a court appearance.

Disorderly Conduct Calls Throughout the Day

Officers responded to multiple disorderly conduct calls, including an early morning incident on North Plaza Boulevard involving an intoxicated individual.

Later in the evening, police were dispatched to Grace Fellowship Church on Mill Street for a report of an unconscious person. That case remains under investigation.

Another disorderly incident on Madison Avenue resulted in a summons being issued.

Trespassing and Criminal Activity

Police are continuing to investigate a trespassing complaint at Central Center, as well as a separate incident on Yoctangee Parkway where a woman who had been banned from school property allegedly entered a building.

Criminal mischief reports were also filed on East Second Street and Western Avenue, though details surrounding those incidents remain limited.

Crashes Reported Across the City

Several traffic-related incidents were reported, including:

  • A crash on West Second Street at Carls Townhouse, which remains under investigation
  • A two-vehicle crash at North High and Chestnut streets
  • A minor collision on North Bridge Street where both drivers exchanged information and reported minimal damage

Other Incidents

Police also responded to:

  • An abandoned vehicle blocking a driveway on Lincoln Avenue
  • A lost key turned into the law enforcement center lobby with no identifiable owner

In total, officers handled 13 incidents throughout the day, with several cases still under investigation.
