Motorcycle Crash in Twin Township Sends by Medflight to Columbus Hospital

TWIN TOWNSHIP, OH – A 60-year-old man was airlifted to Columbus after a serious motorcycle crash in Ross County on Monday evening.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:55 p.m. on Sept. 8, 2025, on County Road 54 (Lower Twin Road). Investigators say Douglas Alan Staffin, of Frankfort, was riding a 2013 Harley-Davidson Dyna Fat Bob eastbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle veered off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned.

Staffin suffered serious injuries and was flown by MedFlight to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Authorities noted alcohol use was suspected in the crash. The roadway was closed for nearly two hours while troopers investigated and cleared the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
