Chillicothe — The monthly “Free Market” continues tomorrow, with the opportunity to pick up used items, food, hygiene items, and more for free in the Main Library Annex, from noon to 3pm. Donations will also be accepted after 10am.

The First Capital PRIDE Coalition has been offering the market on third Saturdays for most of this year, in the former Central Elementary building behind the public library at 146 South Paint Street.

From their Facebook post:

“Our November 15th Free Market is a Food Drive. In addition to the other donation requests listed on the flyer, we are especially requesting food donations. Food can be perishable or shelf-stable. We also need baby food and pet food…

“What is a Free Market? Imagine a thrift store, but there are no price tags. EVERYTHING IS FREE! And EVERYONE is welcome!”

Learn more in my previous story from May, and the below video from August where Galen Kaltenbach described the event and effort.

Kaltenbach chats about what the Chillicothe “Free Market” is and how it has been doing.
