WHITEHALL, OH — June 3, 2025 — In a major strike against the local drug trade, the Whitehall Police Department has dismantled a large-scale narcotics operation, seizing significant quantities of illegal drugs, firearms, and nearly half a million dollars in cash.
According to officials, the bust was the result of a coordinated effort between the department’s Narcotics Bureau and SWAT Team. Multiple search warrants were executed on properties linked to a known drug trafficker operating in the area.
The raids resulted in the seizure of:
- 1,169 grams of cocaine
- 147 grams of fentanyl, a highly potent and deadly opioid
- 380 oxycodone pills
- 4 firearms
- $475,307 in cash
Authorities say the operation marks a major victory in their ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crime and protect the community.
“This is a clear message to anyone dealing drugs in Whitehall: we will find you, and we will take you down,” the department said in a statement. “Thanks to the hard work and determination of our officers, this dangerous network has been shut down.”
Fentanyl, in particular, has been at the center of the nation’s opioid crisis, with even small amounts capable of causing fatal overdoses. The large quantity seized in this bust could have posed a serious threat to countless lives.
Whitehall police credited not only the dedication of law enforcement but also the support of local residents in helping maintain community safety.
“We’re grateful to our residents for standing with us,” police said. “Together, we’re building a safer Whitehall.”
No information on arrests or charges has been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
