SOUTH BLOOMFIELD, OH — A man has been convicted on multiple felony charges following a chaotic incident earlier this year at the South Bloomfield Sheetz.
On Thursday, August 14, Brandon Delpesco was found guilty in Pickaway County Court of Common Pleas of strangulation, felony assault, and felony vandalism in connection with the February 2025 disturbance.
According to South Bloomfield Police, the incident began when a Veterans Affairs EMS crew requested assistance with a combative patient at the Sheetz on U.S. Route 23. Officers say Delpesco assaulted and choked one of the EMTs before fleeing into the convenience store.
Inside, Delpesco allegedly damaged property, forcing the store to temporarily close for repairs. When confronted by a South Bloomfield officer, he ran from the store and attempted to escape in a vehicle on Corrine Drive.
Law enforcement officers quickly surrounded the area, removed Delpesco from the vehicle, and placed him under arrest.
The violent outburst caused significant disruption and damage, police said, but no life-threatening injuries were reported.
Delpesco now faces sentencing on the felony convictions.
