ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced several ongoing and upcoming construction projects that will impact traffic across Ross County, including major closures along Bridge Street beginning this weekend.
Bridge Street Closures Start March 29
Drivers should prepare for significant changes along State Route 159 (Bridge Street) as part of a large-scale safety improvement project.
Beginning March 29:
- All southbound lanes between Stewart Road and North Plaza Boulevard will be closed
- Southbound traffic will be detoured (except access to westbound U.S. 35)
- The SR 104/High Street ramp to eastbound U.S. 35 will close
- North Plaza Boulevard will be closed at Bridge Street
In addition, the U.S. 35 east exit ramp to Bridge Street will be closed nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through April 1.
The project includes upgrades to interchanges, lighting, traffic control, and pedestrian access and is expected to continue through November 2026, with lane restrictions lasting into summer 2027.
