CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Logan Elm FFA Chapter is celebrating a major milestone this week as one of its own has been crowned a state champion. Davion Moran, a standout member of the local chapter, secured a first-place finish in the FFA Creed Speaking Career Development Event (CDE) at the state level.

The Creed Speaking CDE is one of the most rigorous competitions for FFA members, requiring participants to perfectly memorize and passionately recite the five-paragraph FFA Creed. Judging is based on the student’s delivery, confidence, and their ability to answer complex questions regarding the Creed’s meaning and history.

A Path to the Top

Moran’s journey to the state title was a marathon of preparation. After successfully navigating through multiple qualifying rounds against some of the best speakers in Ohio, his performance in the finals earned him the top spot on the podium.

“We are proud of all the effort Davion has put into this and we wish him luck as he continues to represent Logan Elm,” the chapter said in a statement.

Headed to the National Stage

With a state championship under his belt, Moran has officially earned the right to compete at the National FFA Convention. He will represent not only the Logan Elm school district but the entire state of Ohio as he competes against champions from across the country.

His success highlights the continued strength of the Logan Elm agricultural education program and the dedication of its students to leadership and public speaking.
