LANCASTER, Ohio – The Lancaster-Fairfield County 4th of July Committee, a dedicated group of community volunteers, is set to host a vibrant Independence Day celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025, at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds and throughout downtown Lancaster. This annual event, funded entirely by private donations and parking proceeds, promises a full day of patriotic festivities, including a parade, live entertainment, amusement rides, and a spectacular fireworks display.
The day kicks off with the Lancaster-Fairfield County 4th of July Parade, a highlight of the celebration. Parade line-up begins at 8:30 AM at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds, with the procession starting at 10:00 AM. The route will commence at the Columbus Street Gate, proceed south to Main Street, east to Broad Street, and then north back to the Fairgrounds. Spectators can expect a lively display of community spirit, with Johnny Garber providing entertainment at the Bandstand until the parade reaches Zane Square. Johnny and Amanda Everitt will announce parade entries, while Innerphase Video will stream the event live on CNL Spectrum Channel 1021, the CLN – Your Hometown Connection YouTube channel, and the Innerphase Video Facebook page. Replays will be available later in the week. Radio coverage will also be provided on AM 1320 and FM 104.5, hosted by Mark Bohach, David Uhl, and Rachel Jones.
Following the parade, the Fairfield County Fairgrounds will come alive from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM with amusement rides suitable for all ages, complemented by food vendors and arts and crafts booths. From 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, DJ Mike O’Riley will keep the energy high with music, fun, and games at the Fair Office Stage. At approximately 8:00 PM, the band Justice 3:16 will take the stage for an evening performance. The night will culminate at 10:00 PM with Carrie Peters performing the National Anthem, followed by a dazzling fireworks display by Hamburg Fireworks.
Parking at the Fairgrounds will support the fireworks show, with fees set at $20 for autos, $60 for trucks with trailers, and $60 for buses and motorhomes. The committee, a non-profit organization, emphasizes that all activities and expenses are funded through community donations, parking proceeds, and support from local businesses, with no reliance on tax dollars.
