ROSS COUNTY, OH — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal one-vehicle crash that occurred Monday morning on Black Run Road, about one mile west of State Route 772.
According to troopers from the Chillicothe Post, the crash happened around 7:33 a.m. on November 10, 2025, when a 2020 Toyota Corolla SE, driven by 27-year-old Christian Griesheimer of Chillicothe, was traveling southeast on Black Run Road with four juvenile passengers.
Investigators say the Toyota went off the right side of the roadway, traveling into roadside vegetation before hitting a utility pole guywire, a tree, a concrete retaining wall, and another tree.
All five occupants were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. Tragically, one of the juveniles — seated in the back seat — was later pronounced deceased. Griesheimer and two of the remaining three juveniles suffered serious injuries.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office, along with Bainbridge Fire and EMS, Huntington Township Fire and EMS, Union Township EMS, Scioto Township EMS, and the Veterans Affairs Fire Department, assisted at the scene.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
