Juvenile Injured in Lancaster Pedestrian Crash; Lincoln Avenue Closed

LANCASTER, Ohio — Authorities are on the scene of a serious traffic accident involving a juvenile pedestrian this evening in Lancaster.

According to the Lancaster Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Marathon gas station at 600 Lincoln Avenue at approximately 5:23 p.m. following reports that a child had been struck by a vehicle.

The Lancaster Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit has been called to the scene to lead the investigation. Information regarding the extent of the juvenile’s injuries or the circumstances leading up to the collision has not yet been released.

Traffic Alert

As of 6:00 p.m., Lincoln Avenue remains closed in both directions between Thomas Avenue and Cedar Hill Road.

Police are asking all motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes as the reconstruction team processed the scene. The road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
