CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The 2025 Circleville Pumpkin Show has its new heavyweight champions. Mike and Dusti Helberg took home first place in this year’s Giant Pumpkin Weigh-In with an enormous pumpkin tipping the scales at 1,972 pounds.
After years of coming close to victory, the Helbergs finally clinched the top spot. Mike Helberg, who has been growing pumpkins for two decades on the northwest side of Pickaway County, said the win was especially sweet after narrowly missing the title by just a few pounds in previous competitions.
Last year’s winners, Bob and Jo Liggett, claimed the runner-up spot this year with a 1,663-pound pumpkin, while Brandon Wiggins rounded out the top three at 1,567 pounds.
The Nancy Martin Award for Prettiest Pumpkin was presented to Stacy Cowdery.
