WESTERVILLE, OH — Ever wondered just how much you saved at the grocery store last year—or how many bananas your fellow shoppers went through? Kroger is pulling back the curtain on 2025 with its newly released Yearly Checkout, a fun and data-packed recap that shows customers their personal savings, shopping habits and a few jaw-dropping grocery facts.

According to Kroger’s Columbus Division, customers saved billions of dollars in 2025 thanks to discounts, promotions, fuel points and everyday low prices. The Yearly Checkout feature lets shoppers log in and see a personalized snapshot of their year, including total savings, most-purchased items and how often they made grocery runs.

“In 2025, we offered our customers record savings across the store on the everyday items that matter the most to their families,” said Mark Bruce, head of communications and public affairs for Kroger’s Columbus Division. “With everyday low prices, weekly savings opportunities and fuel points, Kroger is committed to helping customers save in all areas of their budget.”

Customers can access their individual Yearly Checkout by logging into their loyalty account on the Kroger app or Kroger.com and selecting the Yearly Checkout feature. The recap will be available now through February 28.

Along with personal stats, Kroger shared some eye-popping companywide fun facts from 2025. Shoppers bought enough beef to make one billion burgers, grabbed 165 million bananas and 146 million apples, and filled carts with 512 million bakery items. Kroger customers also purchased enough cereal to fill the U.S. Capitol Rotunda and enough frozen pizzas to circle the Earth more than three and a half times.

Kroger’s private-label “Our Brands” products also had a standout year, earning national recognition. Highlights included Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips, praised for their bold flavor, a Limited Edition Chili Cheese Bratwurst named a top refrigerated item, and a Scramble Creamy Chorizo Breakfast Bowl, which won a Golden Cart Award for best on-the-go breakfast.

Beyond the checkout lane, Kroger continued its community impact efforts in 2025, directing 518 million meals to communities through its Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative. Since the program launched in 2017, Kroger has helped provide more than 3.9 billion meals nationwide.
