ROSS COUNTY, OH – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for much of Ross County, effective until 11:30 a.m. EDT today, Tuesday, July 1, 2025, with the alert reported at 10:15 a.m. EDT. The region remains saturated following repeated heavy rainfall, heightening the risk of new flooding with minimal additional rain.

Widespread rain is expected to clear the area by early afternoon, followed by a quick-moving line of showers and storms associated with a frontal passage mid-afternoon. Thunderstorms currently moving through southeast Indiana, northern Kentucky, and southwest Ohio, including Ross County, are delivering heavy rainfall, increasing the potential for localized flooding over the next few hours. Residents are urged to stay vigilant and avoid flood-prone areas.
