ROSS COUNTY, OH – Fire crews from multiple departments are battling a serious house fire in the 900 block of Sugar Tree Road after a 911 call reported a home fully engulfed in flames late Friday.
Emergency responders arrived to find the structure already consumed by fire. Due to the intensity of the blaze, several neighboring fire departments have been called in to provide mutual aid. Additional water tankers are being deployed to the scene to support firefighting efforts in the rural area.
Box 65, a volunteer support unit from Pickaway County, has also been dispatched to assist firefighters on the ground by providing rehabilitation services such as water, cooling stations, and snacks.
Officials are urging residents to avoid the area, as multiple emergency vehicles and tanker trucks are actively moving in and out to supply water. No word yet on any injuries or the cause of the fire.
