
LOGAN ELM VILLAGE, OH — A structure fire broke out Thursday afternoon in the 1800 block of Chippewa Drive in Pickaway County, prompting a swift and coordinated response from multiple fire departments across the region.
Within four minutes, an engine from Pickaway Township fire was en route, arriving on scene just three minutes later. Water was on the fire within 1 minute and 45 seconds of arrival, highlighting the critical role that the new part-time staffing plays in ensuring rapid emergency response.
Firefighters worked diligently to contain the blaze, transitioning from active firefighting to overhaul operations within 35 minutes of their arrival.
Structure a Total Loss, But No Injuries Reported
While the structure was deemed a total loss, officials report that the affected family was able to recover some personal belongings. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident.
