ROSS COUNTY, OH — Multiple fire departments responded late Thursday night to a large structure fire on Jester Hill Road that required three alarms and several hours to bring under control.

According to Bainbridge Fire Department officials, the call came in around 10:38 p.m. for a reported structure fire at 5205 Jester Hill Road. Responding firefighters reported seeing heavy flames and smoke while en route and quickly requested a second alarm for additional manpower.

Units from Huntington Township, Benton Township, and the Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District assisted in the initial response. Upon arrival, crews began a defensive attack due to the intensity of the fire.

As firefighters battled the blaze, water supply issues at the scene prompted a third alarm. Departments from Pebble Township, Brushcreek Township, and Twin Township were called in to provide further support.

Crews from multiple agencies worked for over four hours to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading.

Assisting at the scene were the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Pike County Water, South Central Power Company, and the American Red Cross.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by local authorities.
