COMMERCIAL POINT, OH — The 2025 Commercial Point Homecoming Festival kicked off in festive fashion on Wednesday, June 11, with the traditional crowning of the Homecoming Queen as one of the evening’s first major events.
The midway officially opened at 4 p.m., filling the streets with food, rides, and family fun. At the Men’s Club building, the unmistakable aroma of fried fish filled the air as festivalgoers lined up for one of the community’s favorite meals. Soon after, all eyes turned to the festival stage for the highly anticipated Homecoming Queen competition. First order of business was a flag ceremony, this year it was quite special as one of the contestants was the singer Liliya Polizzi from Westfall High School.

Each contestant introduced herself on stage and answered a series of personal and community-based questions, including a final “fishbowl” question, randomly drawn and centered around topics like community service, leadership, and hometown pride.

All were asked questions on stage on who they are and what would make them be the next Queen of Commerical Point. After the questions, a fishbowl random question was asked them on various important subjects. When the questions were finished, the judges deliberated, while the 2024 court gave their farewell speeches. Watch full contest Below:
After careful consideration by the judges, the 2025 Commercial Point Homecoming Court was crowned:
👑 Queen: Lauryn Pierce, Teays Valley High School (Center)
👑 1st Attendant: Ava Kirk, Teays Valley High School (Left)
👑 2nd Attendant: Liliya Polizzi Westfall High School (right)
The celebration continues on Wednesday, June 12, when the festival will crown the Junior Miss, Little Miss, and Little Mister during a ceremony at 6:30 p.m..
