CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The City of Circleville has announced that its annual fall leaf collection will begin on Monday, November 10, and continue through Wednesday, December 31.
Residents are encouraged to help with the citywide effort by delivering bagged leaves to the newly located City Garage at 150 Highland Avenue. Drop-offs will be accepted Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding city-observed holidays — November 27–28 for Thanksgiving and December 24–26 for Christmas.
City officials remind residents to empty bags upon delivery rather than leaving them tied or sealed. For those unable to transport their leaves, bagged leaves may be placed at the curb for pickup.
To ensure a smooth collection process and protect local waterways from pollution, the city offers the following reminders:
- Place leaves only between the grassy area and the curb — not in the street.
- Do not mix leaves with brush or other debris.
- Avoid parking near leaf piles to allow easy collection.
- Keep leaves away from storm drains, as they can cause flooding and introduce excess nutrients into streams and lakes, potentially leading to harmful algae blooms.
Leaf collection will continue through the end of the year.
