Circleville Post Honors Trooper Dusty Turner as 2025 Trooper of the Year

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – February 26, 2026 – The Circleville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is inviting the public to meet Trooper Dusty Turner, the 2025 Circleville Post Trooper of the Year. Trooper Turner will be available for a meet-and-greet and to discuss career opportunities with the Patrol on Thursday, February 26, from 2–4 p.m. at the Circleville Post, 16395 US 23, Ashville, Ohio.

Trooper Turner was chosen by his peers and management for his outstanding leadership, operational skills, and dedication to administrative duties. A trusted friend and mentor both on and off duty, he exemplifies the Patrol’s core values.

“Trooper Dusty Turner embodies the Ohio State Highway Patrol Core Values and is a trusted member of the Circleville Post,” said Lt. Shad Caplinger, Circleville Post Commander. “Dusty serves with pride and is appreciated for his service to the State of Ohio and our country as an Air Force veteran. He can be counted on daily for his leadership and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.”

In addition to being named Trooper of the Year, Turner has earned several accolades, including the Health and Physical Fitness Award, Safe Driving Award, multiple letters of commendation, and in May 2025, he achieved the Master Trooper designation. Turner also serves as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, working as a Bio-Medical Equipment Technician, marking 19 years of dedicated service.
