CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department remained active through the midweek, managing a series of juvenile issues, theft reports, and localized disputes on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

According to the latest Calls for Service (CFS) report, officers handled 33 total incidents, ranging from early morning traffic stops to a late-night runaway case.

🏃 Recurring Juvenile Issues on East Franklin Street

Officers were called to East Franklin Street multiple times on Wednesday as domestic and juvenile situations escalated throughout the day.

  • Morning Incident: At 8:34 a.m., police responded to a report of an unruly juvenile. While that initial call was cleared, officers returned at 3:38 p.m. for a similar complaint, this time filing a formal report.
  • Runaway Case: The situation reached a peak at 7:58 p.m. when a runaway was reported from the same vicinity. A report was taken, and the investigation remains open.

🏘️ Neighborhood Trouble and Property Crime

While much of the night was spent on routine extra patrols, early morning and mid-morning calls required more direct intervention:

  • Neighbor Dispute: At 4:21 a.m., officers were dispatched to Turner Drive to investigate a “neighbor trouble” complaint. After speaking with the involved parties, a formal report was filed.
  • Theft on North Court: At 10:56 a.m., police responded to a theft report on North Court Street. Evidence was collected, and a report was generated for the ongoing investigation.
  • Drunk Driving Call: Shortly before 11:00 a.m., a potential drunk driver was reported on East Main Street. Officers patrolled the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

🚒 Public Safety & Utility Checks

The department assisted in several utility and safety-related calls throughout the morning:

  • Natural Gas/Electric: Officers checked a potential utility issue on East Main Street at 10:08 a.m., finding conditions to be okay.
  • Alarms: Emergency crews responded to fire and EMS alarm drops on East Circle Lane and North Court Street (twice), all of which were cleared without incident.
  • Carbon Monoxide: A CO alarm was reported on Dunmore Road at 11:33 a.m., but the issue was resolved by the time officers arrived on the scene.

🚔 Routine Patrols and Traffic

The night and early morning hours were dominated by proactive policing:

  • Extra Patrols: Officers conducted 14 extra patrols in residential and business districts, including heavy coverage of East Main Street, South Court Street, and Clark Drive.
  • Traffic Enforcement: Two traffic stops were logged. One on Lancaster Pike resulted in no further action, while a stop on South Court Street just after 2:00 a.m. resulted in a warning.
