CIRCLEVILLE, OH – June 18, 2025
The Circleville Police Department had a busy Tuesday, responding to 49 incidents across the city on June 17. Officers handled a range of calls, including traffic stops, accidents, harassment complaints, well-being checks, and multiple trespassing incidents throughout the day and into the night.
Among the day’s earliest reports was a traffic stop on East Franklin Street at 12:15 a.m., which ended with a warning. Shortly after, a well-being check on North Court Street confirmed everything was okay, and a fire alarm drop on North Pickaway Street also proved to be a false alarm.
The department conducted extra patrols in several neighborhoods early in the morning, including Renick Avenue, Pinckney Street, and Lynwood Avenue. Around 6:38 a.m., officers took a report following a non-injury accident on Pontious Road.
Later in the morning, an incident involving threats or harassment on East Mound Street led to a report being filed. Additional reports of neighbor disputes on Barnes Avenue, property damage on Ridgedale Drive, and a warrant issue on East Main Street also kept officers busy.

Several disturbance and suspicious person calls were logged throughout the day, including trespassing on North Court Street, where in some instances, suspects had left the area before officers arrived.
In the afternoon and evening hours, officers responded to:
- A violation of a protection order on Plaza Drive
- Trespassing complaints on Logan Street and Watt Street
- A fraud report on Evergreen Avenue
- An assault call on Lancaster Pike, although the subject was gone upon police arrival
A 911 hang-up call on Barnes Avenue was investigated and deemed accidental. Meanwhile, a fire response and injury accident on Kingston Pike was handled by another agency.
Despite several reports ending in “gone on arrival” or “unable to locate,” officers documented multiple incidents with formal reports, including fraud, harassment, and protection order violations.
The Circleville Police Department continues to remind residents to report suspicious activity and emergencies promptly and to ensure that alarm systems and emergency calls are not triggered accidentally.
