Circleville Police Respond to Variety of Calls on July 30

CIRCLEVILLE, OH — July 31, 2025
Circleville Police were kept busy throughout the day and night on Tuesday, July 30, responding to 46 incidents across the city, ranging from routine patrols to domestic disputes and suspicious activity.

Proactive Patrols Lead the Day
Officers conducted over a dozen extra patrols across locations including U.S. Route 23, North Court Street, Logan Street, and East Franklin Street. All patrols concluded without incident.

Traffic Stops and Citations
Police performed several traffic stops, including one on Mingo Street that resulted in a citation. Another stop on Beaver Alley led to a report being taken, while a stop on Barnes Avenue concluded with a warning.

Suspicious Activity and Disturbances

  • A suspicious person was reported on North Court Street just after midnight, though nothing concerning was found.
  • Officers also responded to suspicious circumstances on East Mound Street and a suspicious person on Cedar Heights Road, both resulting in information being gathered or no report taken.

Domestic and Civil Issues
Two domestic disturbances were addressed, one on Williams Drive that resulted in a report, and another later in the day on East Mound Street, which did not lead to a report.
Officers also served and attempted to serve civil process papers at multiple locations, including Walnut Street, East Ohio Street, and Watt Street, with mixed success.

Emergency Calls and Alarm Drops
Several 911 hang-ups occurred during the day in areas such as US 23 South, Williams Drive, Renick Avenue, and Springhollow Road. All were found to be false alarms or unintentional calls. A late evening alarm drop on West Main Street was also checked and cleared.

Other Notable Incidents

  • A disturbance on US 23 in the evening was handed over to another agency.
  • A report was taken on a juvenile complaint on Pleasant Street and a threats/harassment call earlier in the morning.
  • Found property was recovered on North Court Street.
  • A report of lines or a pole down on East Mound Street was resolved without further issue.
  • A vehicle repossession was logged on East Franklin Street.

The Circleville Police Department continues to monitor the community closely and encourages residents to report suspicious activity promptly.
