CIRCLEVILLE, OH — July 15, 2025
Circleville Police were kept busy throughout the day and night on July 14, responding to nearly 40 calls ranging from suspicious persons and warrant attempts to well-being checks and parking complaints.

Warrants and Attempts to Locate
Several attempts were made to serve outstanding warrants across the city, but many of the suspects were gone on arrival or unable to be located. These warrant attempts occurred on Villa Drive, North Court Street, Kimberly Place, York Street, and Timberline Drive. All resulted in no arrests at the time of response.

Suspicious Activity
Officers investigated multiple reports of suspicious individuals, particularly along North Court Street, where three separate calls between 3:06 a.m. and 3:49 a.m. led to officers checking the area. While one report resulted in no further action, others were verified as non-threatening after investigation.

Well-Being and Homelessness Checks
Circleville PD conducted well-being checks at Highland Avenue, Riverview Road, and Ridgeview Drive, all of which were resolved without incident. Officers also responded to calls involving homeless individuals on North Court Street and South Washington Street, confirming that all individuals were safe.

Other Calls of Note

  • A domestic disturbance was reported on Walnut Street in the early afternoon but the parties involved had left before officers arrived.
  • A fraud report was taken on Stratford Court during the evening hours.
  • Juvenile-related complaints were made twice on Shagbark Street, with one case resulting in a “clear call.”
  • Two 911 hang-up calls were investigated on Long Street and Morris Road and determined to be false alarms.

Police also conducted numerous extra patrols and business checks, particularly along U.S. Route 23 and throughout the downtown area, all of which were found to be secure.

In total, the department handled 39 separate calls for service. No major arrests were reported, but officers maintained a visible presence and responded promptly to community concerns throughout the day and night.
